In Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles, she connects Osiris and Isis to the characters of Akasha and Enkil?

Where do the names Akasha and Enkil come from? Are they also a god and goddess, or are they names Anne Rice created for her characters? If they are actual names, do they really have a connection to Osiris and Isis?
Josh K: Read "Pandora". That's the one I remember first making the connection. Pandora is a worshiper of Isis in ancient Rome, and she believes Akasha is actually Isis.

Interesting.

I must re-read the books!!

I must!

Edit: I will take your advice and re-read Pandora. This has captivated my thoughts.
