chinese vampire mythology
Looking for creatures of Chinese folklore/mythology?
I'm told that familiar creatures like dragons, vampires and werewolves are in Chinese mythology, and I'm writing a fantasy novel, and had planned to use creatures of European and Chinese myths[phpbay] I wanted to read up on the Chinese versions of these creatures[phpbay] Could someone give me some referance material, and/or tell me of any books that could help with this? Thanks[phpbay]
As part of my library I have several rather flashy, what I call cocktail table books, on Chinese Myths[phpbay] When I get serious, or someone asks a question on Chinese Folklore I get my "Ancient Tales and Folklore of China" by Edward D[phpbay]C[phpbay] Werner, off the shelf[phpbay]
