The Black Dagger Brotherhood by J[phpbay] R[phpbay] Ward, is an eight part series that gives you a whole new concept of Vampires being more humanized[phpbay] It is an entirely different feel for the vision of vampire[phpbay] Though it still gives you that sex appeal of the creature[phpbay] The idea behind merging the books together was genius[phpbay] It really helped seeing the characters from all angles, and gets you prepared and excited for the next book, while keeping the main story rolling[phpbay] I can honestly say these have become my personal favorites[phpbay]

Dark Lover~

The series starts with the Blind King, and Elizabeth[phpbay] The last purebred vampire making a promise to his best-friend to protect his last living child[phpbay] You get experience this world through a character who has no knowledge of this other lifestyle that belonged to her[phpbay] It also gives you a look through the vampire's eyes, which made it feel evenhanded[phpbay]

Lover Eternal~

The second book in the series, was by far my favorite! To be captivated from the moment you open the book to the very end is extraordinary[phpbay] Taking on a whole new twist, it still kept up with the rest of the Black Dagger Brotherhood[phpbay] Very refreshing to find a book that can do this so smoothly[phpbay] A vampire cursed with a separate demon, is willing to live with this horrible creature in order to save a human[phpbay] I promise you won't be able to put it down until you find out what happens[phpbay]

Lover Awakened~

Book three was probably the most emotionally gripping novel I've read in along time[phpbay] I will admit it is a very hard read[phpbay] Though you are prepared in the first two books, you're not completely ready for what Zsadist and Bella's story gives you[phpbay]

An emotionally distressed vampire struggling with feelings that Bella creates inside him[phpbay] I know sounds like your typical bad-boy love story[phpbay][phpbay][phpbay]Wait, it's nothing like anything you've read before[phpbay]

Lover Revealed~

Book four was, sad to say, on the disappointing side[phpbay] I expected more from it[phpbay] From book one I was really excited to see Butch and Marissa's story[phpbay] Unfortunately, by the end I honestly could have cared less if they were together or not[phpbay] Don't get me wrong it was still a good read, kept me interested until the end, and got me pumped for the next one[phpbay] Though stories of lovers who just can't seem to get their stuff in gear bore me[phpbay]

Although is one does introduce Rehvenge more into the story, who just happens to be a personal favorite; next to John Matthew of course!

Lover Unbound~

The fifth book is another emotionally hard read[phpbay] Though, it helps lift the mystery of the more shall we say talented brother[phpbay] Oh, the story of Vishous! Same as book three no amount of preparing will help aid you through this one[phpbay] From the history of his past to the love he finds in Doc Jane, it will really take you on a ride[phpbay] I loved it, my readers!! Absolutely loved it!

Lover Enshrined~

The story of Phury was once again a string of disappointment[phpbay] You find yourself eager to read and instead find yourself dissatisfied[phpbay] It really wasn't the problems he faced with the drug addiction that upset me, it was the-random change in direction[phpbay] Change is good, but not random changes[phpbay] It really confuses the story line and makes it seem thrown together[phpbay] It felt as if J[phpbay] R[phpbay] Ward really didn't know where she was going with this particular story line[phpbay]

Though, the book had intense side stories[phpbay] I wouldn't suggest skipping this book because of those side stories[phpbay] Yet, I won't blame you if you do decide to skip over the parts that holds Phury's tale[phpbay]

Lover Avenged~

Book seven was up there on the list of favorites[phpbay] It gives you a better look inside Rehvenge, which after book four I had become interested in his character[phpbay] It also brings in Xhex another one of the favorites[phpbay] Book seven opens up the story in a whole new perspective, which is refreshing and gives you as a reader a chance to see a whole another side of this world Ward has created[phpbay] I liked how she reintroduces Wrath and Beth back in, it gives you a full circle without rehashing the already read[phpbay]

Lover Mine~

The last book of the series[phpbay] And it isn't on the selves yet[phpbay][phpbay][phpbay] But I'll be the first to let you know what I thought[phpbay] For John Mathew was the glue of the entire series!
