Vampire Hunter

Thriller laced with the transition and grooming, Bram Stoker's "Dracula" is actually the original classic vampire story. It is primarily all begins with one of the heroes left England and his fiancee, Mina, to travel to Transylvania to conduct business with Dracula. His journey is less than pleasant, and when he finally meets the Count's castle, which deteriorated further. Harker ends prisoner in Dracula's castle, and back home in England, Mina's best friend, Lucy, a mysterious blood loss every night and become very ill and a mental patient remains very alarming. Then meet Van Helsing, Vampire Hunter who realizes what is happening with Harker in Transylvania, and racing to the bus stop to Dracula coming to England and save Jonathan and Lucy.

On the surface, "Dracula" is a horror film with all the trimmings. Meet Dracula crawling down the wall of the castle, the horrific events which led to Lucy to take part driven by her heart, terrifying description of Dracula lies in a coffin during the day and how forces Mina to drink the blood from the wound in breasts.

Account of the mental patient, Renfield is particularly chilling, as he believed that it is swallowed and begins to count living creatures, such as flies, spiders and birds, as it is led to believe, "blood is life" and he will be immortal after his "duty".

One of the most frightening thing of all, however, is that the vampire is a natural seducer. He makes that it be relied on for women in the novel and it is here that we can link to the underlying sexual connotations. When the novel was published in 1897, sex is taboo, so intertwined it manually Stoker in his novel, hidden by the attack of the vampire. There are several scenes of seduction, such as Jonathan Harker's encounter with three brides, description of the implementation and Lucy, when Mina is forced to drink Dracula's blood to thin, a hole in the breast self-inflicted.

Rough language and symbolism to make a novel intense read. It is written in the form of a diary entry, but not discouraged it. Just concentrate on the input is read.

One more thing, if you've seen the film and I think that there is no point in reading the book again. As with all Hollywood epics, which Stoker took the story and twisted it into more of love story. In the film, you end up feeling kind of sorry for Dracula at the end. Not so in the book. He is a monster from start to finish, and mine is not his lost bride. Yes, love Gary Oldman, Anthony Hopkins and Keanu Reeves (minus the horrible accent), but you have to read the book.

If you're a horror fan who loves the classic story of a vampire - garlic, blood, the stake through the heart, decapitation death by sunlight, sleeping in coffins, then this book is for you.
