Vampires are not a new phenomenon. Existed in our popular culture for many centuries. First of all these supernatural characters are very popular our literature and television programs. For those who have just entered into the vampire culture, the list contains some of the most famous vampire in the media root trend.

1897 gothic novel by Bram Stoker horror classic remains to this day. Narrator Jonathan Harker, he meets a mysterious employer's secret life. After a narrow escape from the castle, our hero leads to evil, again, as Count Dracula attacks on his close associates. He and his lover, Mina must find a way to deal with hostile creatures before they fall victim to its influence.

The first book in the Vampire Chronicles series by Anne Rice is famous for the tragic image of the vampire culture and perhaps even sympathetic. Louis is a 200-year-old vampire, who relays his entire life story on an interesting journalist. His melancholy past, full of sorrow and suffering, with a story of unspeakable violence memories of unpreventable deaths, as Louis struggles to keep the last shreds of his humanity.
 • Anno Dracula
Kim Newman book series are interesting to take an alternate universe to Bram Stoker's Dracula. Imagine a world in which Count Dracula has been defeated, not instead of completely dominated society. In the first book, a serial killer of prostitutes is a vampire on the loose. Jack the Ripper, who turns out to be Jack Stewart from the original novel of Dracula, is determined to avenge the death of his lover in the world of tyranny.
 • Twilight
Spanned more than four books, the story of teenage love Stephenie Meyer has become a monolith in pop culture. Bella Swan was a typical teenager in a small town, until she met and fell in love with a vampire named Edward Cullen. Despite the immediate attraction to each other, Edward and Bella experience a complicated affair, especially with his beloved werewolf thrown in the mix.

Based on the Southern Vampire Mysteries by Charlaine Harris, the popular HBO television series has a telepathic waitress in a small small town in Louisiana. After the invention of synthetic blood balanced, vampires are reluctantly accepted in society, so much protest against the unequal law. Our hero, Sookie Stackhouse, vampire encounter in a restaurant for one night. And her life will change ...
 • The Vampire Diaries
CW's own television series is based on a series of vampire books, LJ Smith of the same title. The tragic heroine Elena Gilbert is in the middle of the triangle, two brothers love vampires. Through their involvement in her life, she discovers some deep secrets about herself and her small town Virginia. This applies to the whole truth about this terrible car accident that had both parents living.
 • Buffy the Vampire Slayer
This is a very successful Joss Whedon is a much darker shade of production since 1992, the predecessor of the film. The Slayer, Buffy Summers is charged with the responsibility of fighting the supernatural events in her small town California. Its failures are even more chaotic by the endless cycle of bad form which is readily bring Buffy down.

It presents a spinoff of Buffy the vampire named Angel, who is cursed with bad conscience, When atones for past sins and crimes. Benevolent vampire seeking redemption takes him to the city of Los Angeles, where his team lost co-workers to help souls in a format similar to a detective agency. Instead of solving crimes regularly, the challenge of demons and other paranormal presence.
 • Being Human
BBC TV hit, and it inspired the American remake of the same name, about three supernatural characters that try to integrate into society, despite their unusual ailments. Trio is made up of spirit, a werewolf, a vampire, all struggling to maintain regular social life. The three friends must help each other move in a specific way of life, and concealing his dark secrets of the world.

It is with great appeal to women's well-known demographic, CW two handsome brothers, it at various paranormal adventures hunting demons and other supernatural beings, including vampires. Sam and Dean Winchester initially seek missing father in the first season. Later seasons include the exchange of the soul, the failure in hell, and fights for the impending Apocalypse.
