Teletubbies
So what's your plan for Halloween? Is your family going to have a theme? Are all the kids going to have matching costumes? These are all insignificant questions[phpbay] The REAL question is are YOU going to dress up? Yes, you heard me right[phpbay] I asked if YOU are going to dress up[phpbay] It is possible, you know, and there's no written rule that says that adults can't dress up on Halloween, too[phpbay] There are so many adult costumes[phpbay] Why not try them out?
I remember the year that I decided to dress up as the purple Teletubby, Tinky Winky[phpbay] All I would need is an adult costume[phpbay] I was convinced that this was the easiest costume to come up with[phpbay] After all, it was all one color, right? How hard could this possibly be? I started out by going to the fabric store to buy some purple fabric[phpbay][phpbay][phpbay]and I hyperventilated as soon as I walked in! There were rows and rows of fabrics! A kind saleswoman took pity on me and asked me if I needed any help[phpbay] I stammered something about needing purple fabric for a costume[phpbay] She led me to the purple section and I flipped again[phpbay] There were about 25 different shades of purple, tons of different textures, and I had no idea what to do next[phpbay] I looked at the saleswoman with a helpless look in my eyes, silently pleading for her help[phpbay] She just smiled and told me to come and get her if I needed anything else[phpbay] Then she turned away[phpbay] I took a deep breath and turned to face the purple crowd[phpbay] I fingered all of the different fabrics and finally found something that I thought could possibly resemble Tinky Winky's fur[phpbay] The kind saleswoman came back to cut off what I needed, but the problem was that I had absolutely no clue how much I needed[phpbay] Heck, I didn't even have a pattern! I pasted a smile on my face and mumbled an incoherent thank you mingled with some sort of excuse why I suddenly had to leave the store, and made a mad dash for the door[phpbay] I sat in my car, sweating at this "close call" that I had just encountered[phpbay] Suddenly, out of the corner of my eye, I noticed another store right next to the fabric store[phpbay] Lo and behold, it was an adult costume store!! Within minutes, I was in and out of there with Tinky Winky's head and body in hand[phpbay]
That Halloween was an awesome one, folks! It's definitely fun to dress up even if those adult costumes are hot[phpbay][phpbay][phpbay]but just buy the darn costume! Oh, and one more tip, if you dress up as a Teletubby like I did, make sure that you take off the head BEFORE you walk through any doorways[phpbay] It's not much fun to get stuck!
