One of the great cartoon classics is the Flintstones created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbara[phpbay] The Flintstones, as we know, is about a working class Stone Age man, Fred Flintstone, with his family and his best friend, Barney Rubble, as his next door neighbor[phpbay] They live in the Stone Age in Rockville, drive cars made of wood and stone which are powered by their feet[phpbay] It is funny cartoon that many children and adult love to this day[phpbay]
The Flintstones are not only popular for its characters but also for its costumes[phpbay] Though the costume is very simple it is very popular for Halloween and Halloween parties[phpbay] One can dress like Fred Flintstone which is very simple[phpbay] He has an orange and black felt tunic with a fur collar and bottom edges are usually spiked, a blue felt necktie, matching cuffs, black wig and bare feet[phpbay] On the other hand Wilma Flintstone has a white polyester dress with one shoulder strap and a tattered zebra trim sewn at the top and bottom[phpbay] Some common accessories include a big stone necklace and orange wig with bobby pins[phpbay]
Barney Rubble attire could also be warn this includes a brown polyester coat with a fur collar and a bottom jagged trim[phpbay] Besides this a brown tie and completed with a faux fur cuff, yellow wig and of course bare feet[phpbay] With all these costumes you are ready with your family to attend a Halloween party or go trick-or-treating[phpbay] However, if you'd like to add to the costume you could carry a camera box with bird carving[phpbay] Also, don't forget your Flintstones catch phrases during the evening which include 'Yabba Dabba Doo' and 'Wilma!'[phpbay]
The Flintstones costumes also makes a great group costume[phpbay] You and your wife can dress as Fred and Wilma and your children can dress as Pebbles and Bambam the children[phpbay] If you do not have children this can be combined with friends who dress as Barney and Betty[phpbay] Whatever character you choose it will be a night to remember!
