Fiction is a form of writing which deals in part or in whole with contra-factual events[phpbay] Fiction is not only gripping but the most fascinating form of leisure read[phpbay] The works of many literary giants have contributed to this genre of writing and often, the manifestation of fiction writing is better known as novels and within this illustrious genre there are numerous categories[phpbay]
History of fiction:
The lineage of fiction dates back to the historical development of writings in the prose and poetry forms, which mainly focused on entertainment, enlightenment and sometimes instructions[phpbay] Besides literature, which promptly conveys the data on history, there was one form of writing which needed to be tuned so as to convey the underlying messages[phpbay] This form of literature that stemmed from folklore and ancient fables is today termed as fiction[phpbay] Fiction is anything that is thinkable by a creative mind, without necessarily being true or reliable[phpbay]
The exciting world of fiction:
The very essence of fiction is the nucleus of its appeal[phpbay] Nothing is real but the imaginary is such that the reader would want to believe every word of it[phpbay] There are many facets to fiction that make it special and one of them is that it makes gossip tolerable and dark or grey shaded characters acceptable[phpbay]
Fiction is more versatile than it appears and it may be embellished and dressed up for drama, theatre and other stage activities[phpbay] Literary giants have often quoted that subjects like philosophy, anthology and science can become boring over a period of time while fiction remains ever green and ever intriguing[phpbay] It has the power to override the gracious society to speak from the heart, open, frank and in all the instinctive human shades[phpbay]
Fiction invites imagination and insight as readers that opt for fiction do so, with an open mindset to accept that which is most unreal[phpbay] Although this is an accepted perception, the fact that fiction cannot be ignored as a fabrication of words or unreal work of literature becomes pertinent[phpbay] Writers like Khalid Hosseini and others have brought to the forefront, stories of a land that is less known and seen[phpbay] The modest dwelling of the east may be compared to the outrageously bold life of westerners and one such example is best seen in books by Jackie Collins[phpbay] The events that unfold in these books are quite unthinkable for easterners and this adds to the appeal of the book[phpbay] Similarly, there are books that speak about the culture, tradition and lives of people spread across the world in fantastic story forms[phpbay]
The attributes of fiction writing cannot be cut short thus, as it is multifaceted with the ability to entertain without expectation[phpbay] This form of writing is believed to give grace and space from a mundane day[phpbay] Don't we all enjoy just sitting back and relaxing without having to move around doing mundane tasks and enjoying all the same? Books on fiction aim to provide such a luxury and it has been aptly said that the many faces of fiction books can never be summed in one article; such is the creativity, diversity and panache created by fiction writers[phpbay] Fiction writers are amongst the elite lot that have articulately spun stories and woven them into words that have enthused readers since ages[phpbay] The best way to acknowledge their contribution is by lapping up all that this particular genre of literature has to offer[phpbay]
