Offering absolutely stunning fantasy novel about life, death, family and adolescence, Neil Gaiman does not seem to be bothered by fear of death and dark, that pushes people visiting the cemetery at night[phpbay] He did not even consider that death and fear should not be subjects for children's books[phpbay] In his best-selling novel "Graveyard Book, Gaiman combines the charm of living in a gruesome death by creating stunning metaphors of childhood[phpbay]

The inhabitants of the cemetery, vampire, witch and ghost dead, with the exception of a boy and nurse him[phpbay] Young at heart, Mr and Mrs Owens, welcomes him and gives him a name[phpbay] As BOD - For one brief Owens - grows, that accustomed to the darkness, knows the secrets of the cemetery, cemetery receives the freedom of learning their strengths and weaknesses[phpbay]
Afraid that Jack will come back to him, Bod learns to Hide in Plain Sight and decides to stop at the cemetery, silent and inaccessible, until you realize that all his achievements have no value in the world of the living[phpbay] So, he decides to confront the enemy[phpbay]
Bod is an enjoyable character[phpbay] Although he feels lonely, he knows that his friends at the cemetery I love him[phpbay] With great courage at his age and able to think properly, Bod grows in maturity and good judge[phpbay] His education includes both the Renaissance humours and Victorian manners, but also how to fade, slide and dream walk[phpbay] Characters that Bod is surrounded by magnificent with their behavior and characteristics, and all together to provoke the reader to the cemetery rules[phpbay]
Writing need not be pompous[phpbay] banality and insanity, this short, sharp mystery adventure, stimulation and insight in equal doses[phpbay] Excellent writing Gaiman and Dave McKean's illustrations offer something a little more, which makes it 'The Graveyard Book "book quality, atmosphere and imagination[phpbay] Mc Kean drawings, it is frightening reflect the physical differences between the Bod and the inhabitants of the cemetery[phpbay] The boy is presented as a solid person, while other characters are rather communicate the message of freedom, even if it is performed between the tombstones and creates an almost homely atmosphere[phpbay] Readers to focus on the frightening Bod and unrealistic story, but Gaiman is writing so clearly sincere that readers are transported in a magical world[phpbay] This contradiction between the fear, mystery and makes the magic of "The Graveyard Book" haunting prose[phpbay]
The Graveyard Book "will be adapted for film and directed by Neil Jordan, Irish Academy Award-winning director[phpbay]
