How to LARP Vampire:the masquerade?
I would like to know how or be sent to a web site for a LARP group in The central Florida area[phpbay] Vampire larp would be great but Ill take anything[phpbay] Im a newb so please explain thoroughly ( and in understandable terms)
I am in California and do not know Florida at all[phpbay] I would advise some internet searches, as they can also lead to other groups or games you might like[phpbay] There are at least one or two central sites for gamers to meet up
it's been a few years since I last played either LARP or table top, but one thing that made the difference (aside from the live action) is how chance is determined[phpbay] In the table top version, you roll dice[phpbay] When i did the LARP, we used three poker chips to determine chance (red was worth 1 points, blue 2, white 3 or something like that)[phpbay] We would hold the chips behind our backs, and randomly pull one out[phpbay] If it had a higher score then the other one that was played, then the challenge was defeated (vice versa)[phpbay]
We also made use of index cards, which was our inventory[phpbay] We also used them to indicate things such as 'monsterous size" "ugly" "smells" /etc
Check out minds eye theater, that was the LARP when i was playing
